Linking Scheme

The scheme exists to encourage learners who would not be able to attend Adult Learning courses without the support from a volunteer. This includes learners who have mental ill health, a learning disability/difficulty, a physical or sensory disability, are elderly or are vulnerable. A volunteer will, when required, pick you up at home (usually by car), and offer support and encouragement for the duration of the course. Volunteers befriend as well as encourage you and act as a link between you and the tutor.
