Action For Children Poole Parenting Project
Parenting groups are offered termly across Poole in accessible venues as per contract with Borough of Poole. This service is for parents and carers of children with conduct disorder or behaviour problems where a child's behaviour is having a significant impact on family life and schooling; - Where some intervention in behavioural change has already been made by professionals such as health visitors, school nurses, family support workers, pastoral care workers, SENCos; - Where parents recognise that they have some ownership of the problem and have the commitment and readiness to change; - Families with high-level needs as very early intervention; - The programme is not appropriate for parents involved in ongoing court proceedings; - The programme is not appropriate for parents and carers with acute or severe mental health problems.
