The Leonardo Trust
Funding for full time carers to take a break of some kind. This may be a short holiday or weekend away (not usually foreign holidays) or it may be something to do which relaxes the carer, or even some equipment to enable them to follow a hobby at home. Any request which will benefit the carer will be considered by the trustees. As we don't make home visits (unless requested) there is a simple form to be completed and we require a report from a heathcare professional who knows the situation well. A decision will be advised to the applicant within a few days and in urgent cases funding can be provided within a week or so. The trustees will consider requests from people not on benefits, but who are not able to afford what they need. No fees required. Other facilities available: Information for carers about other organisations and facilities available. Sometimes office closed if I have to go out so please phone before making a special journey. Arrangements could be made for other times if nesessary.
