360 Family Intervention Project - Children's and Young People's Social Care
The Family Intervention Project (FIP) works intensively with those families who are at risk from legal action due to the anti-social behaviour or youth crime of one or more members of that family.
The FIP keyworkers work with the whole family to challenge behaviour and support change. The keyworker will often act as lead professional co-ordinating other agencies, signposting to services, getting improved access to services and working intensively towards changing behaviour. The desired outcome is to avoid homelessness and other legal interventions and to integrate the family back into their community.
The FIP team work to prevent criminal activity and work with families to challenge and change historic negative behaviours and lifestyles. The intervention is a family approach to work with individuals, Families and agencies to improve outcomes for vulnerable and persistently difficult young people and their families. For children, young people and their families must be involved in ASB/ YC and have had significant agency support criteria available at request.
