Sing Out And Dance About!
'Sing Out and Dance About' is a small, independent company based in Bournemouth. It is run by Jenny Wakefield; a Qualified Teacher and Early Years Specialist with an interest in Music & Drama.
The Company visits a wide range of establishments including: Parent and Toddler Groups, Nurseries/Playgroups, Sure Start Children's Centres, Schools, After School Clubs/Holiday Schemes and Community Events such as Fetes, Fun-days or Open Days. Our services cater for children aged 0-8 and our catchment area covers Bournemouth, Poole and surrounding areas.
Our vision is to be used in addition to your existing Music & Movement Sessions to enhance your current provision, rather than replace it!
Each and every one of our Sessions aims to provide Stimulating and Creative Quality Learning Experiences. The emphasis being: Interactive and Fun. We try to avoid the 'prescribed' method of teaching (often used in other Music schemes) and instead focus on child-centred learning through methods such as sensory play. Although we cover the basic concepts of Music, Dance and Drama, it is delivered in such a skilled way the children don't actually realise they are learning!
Available for private hire e.g. Birthday Parties, Fetes, Open days/fun-days during weekends
Available during the evening on request
