Hamworthy Community Library
This brand new library offers a wide range of books, DVDs, audiobooks on both cassette and CD and the following new facilities:
- The Book Bites Café, managed by volunteers from the local community, serves light meals, snacks and drinks between 9:30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00-12.00 Saturday.
- Multi-purpose Community Rooms are available to hire, complete with an automatic projector through which presentations, television or DVDs can be played onto a 3m screen
- An Interview Room is available to hire
- A Studio/Media Room is available to hire, complete with musical instruments for making and recording music, and equipment for creating podcasts
- Television screens showing 24-hour news and available to promote the services of, and information about, local groups and organisations
- 10 Computers with free Internet access and Microsoft Office 2007
- 1 Computer with both the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) and the Computer Booking system
- Wi-fi free of charge for laptop or smartphone users within the library.
