Nannies

Work in the home of the children they care for. Some nannies live in, or come to work daily and or may work for 2 or more families. Nannies do not have to be registered and inspected but they may choose to voluntarily register with Ofsted Voluntary Register and are then considered a Home Carer. Parents should be aware that it is their responsibility to check any qualifications and references that the Nanny supplies and to understand their obligations as an employer.
