Work is offered during school holidays, and occasional term time evenings and Saturday mornings. 

Various locations, and flexible work. 

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced people to join our team of Casual Support Workers to assist with our Holiday Activities for 8-17 year olds with Asperger Syndrome /Higher Functioning Autism, as well as occasionally support with our youth groups.   Post holders will assist with activities; support young people to participate in activities; and facilitate social skills and friendships. 

 

Activities run during Summer and Easter school holidays. Working hours and locations vary. Professional experience of working with young people on the autism spectrum is essential.

It is essential that the person appointed can communicate effectively with young people on the autism spectrum, has strong social skills, is able to participate in play and leisure activities; and can work effectively using their own initiative and as a team.

  • Applicants should have professional experience of supporting people with autism
  • Applicants will be subject to a DBS check, and require 2 satisfactory references.
