Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will be undertaking an Interim Visit to Nottinghamshire on Tuesday 6 October and 7 October 2020. This will be one of 18 visits nationally over the next 5/6 months.
The aim of the visit will be to:
- Support the local area to understand the impact of the pandemic on children and young people with SEND and their families;
- Find out what has worked well for them during this time, what the challenges have been, and lessons learned;
- Work with the local area to identify opportunities for improvement that address the challenges faced by children and young people with SEND;
- Highlight best practice case studies and share insights nationally to promote .
As part of the Interim Visit there are two on-line surveys (one for parents/ carers and one for young people aged 16-25). Both surveys opened yesterday and will close on the 30 September 2020.
