Central Notts Mind
Supports people with mental health difficulties in their own homes and communities. Offers counselling, day care centres for people with dementia, befriending, clubs and support groups. Groups in Mansfield include a Men's Group, Wednesday Social Club, and Women's Group (meetings in both Mansfield and in Sutton-in-Ashfield). Groups are facilitated by Mind but many operate as drop-ins, without the need for referral from a health-care professional or mental health worker. All groups are free of charge. Operates Support Centres in Mansfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The Mansfield Support Centre at Concord House has ramped access, services and group meetings are provided on the ground floor and there is a wheelchair-accessible toilet. The Centre does not have an induction/hearing loop system.
