Busy B's are our popular drop-in activities for young artists by and themed around Baltic's exhibitions. Hassle free, no need to book, just drop-in and get stuck in! Your Busy B's can explore exciting, alternative and playful ways to learn more about contemporary art. Suitable for children under 13 with their families.

But you dont have to wait until then to enjoy family fun at Baltic, check out what we have on offer every week.

A place to learn, create and play.

Everyone is welcome to drop into Quay. Located on level 2, Quay is open 7 days a week; it is a fun and informal place where children, young people and their families can enjoy lots of activities as well as location for showcasing work created with local school and community groups.

There are areas to get messy, places to create and spaces to relax. You can enjoy our in-house TV station screening short films, chat to our friendly, knowledgeable Baltic Crew and browse through books and information. Quay also host free family activities every weekend, there's no need to book simply drop in between 14.00-16.00 to enjoy these fun, creative workshops.
