The Young People in Mind project service provides help, support and guidance to young people (14-25) who have experienced mental health difficulties or emotional distress. We offer a package of support tailored to individual needs and through a process of mutual agreement with the young person we encourage to work towards goals and targets which are realistic and attainable. Our approach typically involves beginning with a friendly and supportive 1-1 service, through which we work together to identify issues and how to start addressing them. We also provide ongoing and varied group activities, focusing on social interaction with an element of informal learning and celebrating achievement; we make every effort to ensure that young people attending groups feel safe, valued and equal.
Home visits are provided by this service.
Interpretation and translation services can be arranged by staff, for users of this service.
