Music making opportunities for Middlesbrough’s Young People
We are looking for young people aged 6-18 to join our music groups.
Our programme is designed to support young people facing barriers. If you work with young people who enjoy music and you think that taking part in a music activity would support their well-being and personal development then we would be delighted to welcome them into our programme.
Activities include:
Bandjam for ages 6-18
We have 4 groups (minis, beginners, juniors and seniors) for different ages and abilities. Bandjam offers young people everything from general musicianship to playing or singing in a rock/pop band together. Led by professional music leaders, the sessions covers guitars, drums and vocals.
Inclusive music group for ages 16-25
Learn how to use music technology, as well as play instruments, sing and/or create music together in a group. Supported by two professional music leaders, this group welcomes neurotypical and neurodiverse young people.
Singing 7 week course for ages 8-13
Sing together and develop your singing skills with the support of professional singer and coach.
Other opportunities:
- We can design a bespoke music project specifically for your group of young people tailored to their needs.
- We can offer 1:1 support/music lessons either in Middlesbrough or online with one of our tutors.
Costs: We have an inclusive fee structure in place which is supported by grant funding, therefore we can offer free places for young people where financial barriers would prevent them accessing otherwise.
Young people are welcome to attend a taster session for any of the activities. If access to sessions is a barrier please contact us to discuss.
