The Local Offer is where we have brought together useful information for children, young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families.
It is here to help you find information, advice and guidance about the types of services and support available to you in our local area. We have worked in partnership with Parents4Change and young people to develop our offer and will continue to do so to ensure you can access the right support at the right time.
We are delighted to share the recent Ofsted Area SEND Inspection findings with you.
The Inclusion and Specialist Support Service (Formally the SEN Assessment Team and Alternative Provison team) can be contacted 5 days a week via our duty/ Single point of contact number. The team will be available:
Monday to Thursday - 9am to 5pm
Friday - 9.00am to 4.30pm.
During School holidays - 9am to 3pm

SEND Team Drop In Sessions
Dates have now been arranged for our parent/carer drop in sessions with the team at the local family hubs
Barnardo's are now providing the South Tees SENDIASS offer across Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland.
SENDIASS is for parents and carers of children and young people 0-25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the South Tees area - and for their children too.
If you live in the Tees Valley, the Family Support Service, delivered by Daisy Chain, is here for you. The team supports young people aged 0-18 years and their families, no matter where they are on their autism, ADHD, sensory processing or Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) journey. You do not need to have a diagnosis!
The Family Support team is here to listen to your concerns and offer support. We offer Drop In Sessions, Young People sessions, and Training for Parents

Holmwood School is celebrating after landing a prestigious national award.
Holmwood School was named Special School of the Year 2022/23 at this year’s Prestige Awards.
In their citation the judges highlighted the school’s ‘calm, positive and caring atmosphere’ which helps pupils make the most of their time at Holmwood.
Our Participation team worked together with young people who have been supported by Childrens social care to bring together a new vision of how Childrens Services can support young people.
