Local Solutions

Local Solutions is a charity delivering services to people primarily across the North West of England and North Wales.

It has a proven track record of improving the quality of life for vulnerable and excluded people.

Services include:

- Homecare

Our Homecare services provide a wide range of support to enable people to continue to live at home and access the community around them

- Carer's support

If you are a carer, you are entitled to a Carers Assessment from our skilled team which helps you think about what support you may need as well as how you can have a life outside caring.

Our Liverpool Carers Centre delivers a city wide community based programme of activities and training that ensures a range of support is available to unpaid carers in Liverpool. This focuses on helping to reduce the negative impact of the caring role and promotes carers’ health and wellbeing.

Our Mytime service aims to connect carers who could benefit from a break from their demanding caring roles, with businesses offering complimentary leisure, cultural and educational activities.

The Life Enhancing Technology Service aims to help individuals stay independent in the home, through home units connected to a 24/7 helpline service, in addition to offering a number of additional homecare accessories.

The Liverpool Carers Emergency Card scheme offers carers peace of mind that the person they care for will be looked after in the event of an accident or unexpected event.

- Homelessness support/accommodation

Our Homeground hostel offers accommodation to homeless young people between the ages of 16 to 21.  Each resident will receive support via a key worker according to their individual needs, with the aim of supporting young people to engage with education and employment and move on to stable accommodation.

Our Supported Lodgings service provides family style accommodation to homeless young people. Young people are accommodated with registered ‘Householders’ in their homes, they will have their own room and share the kitchen and bathroom facilities. This is an alternative to living in a hostel. Each young person will receive support from their Householder and a support worker.

Our AIMS (Accommodation, Intense Mentoring, Skills) team supports young people aged 16-21 (extendable to 24 year olds) who are with leaving care services or who have experience of the care system. The team is made up of Trans-Disciplinary workers with experience in multiple fields who can take a flexible approach to meet changing needs and who have knowledge of the client group and the wider community.

Our Sports Horizons team of multi-disciplinary workers have extensive experience supporting young people. Through sports inclusion and participation the team will take a personalised holistic approach when working with young people.
