First Steps Vocational Training Centre
First Steps has been a provider of Alternative Provision since 2000, working in partnership with Lincolnshire Teaching and Learning Centre (Solutions 4) and a number of local schools.
First Steps provides an LCC approved alternative learning programme for young people aged 12 to 16 years who have been excluded from school, are at risk of permanent exclusion or who are not engaging with mainstream school for a variety of other reasons.
The curriculum includes accredited vocational training as well as GCSE subjects and Functional Skills. There is a high level of support with small tutor to student ratios, a structured behaviour management system and pastoral team.
