YMCA Woodlands Nursery

YMCA Woodlands Day Care is an independent childcare facility based on the grounds of Woodlands Infant and Nursery School. We work in close partnership with both the school and The Birchwood Children’s Centre.

All our staff are qualified to a minimum of level 2 in childcare, with a high percentage having level 3 or above. As a setting we like to encourage our staff to continually develop and build upon their qualifications.

At YMCA Woodlands Day Care we have a cook that comes in daily to cook a homemade dinner for the children. We cater for all dietary needs and work on creating a balanced and healthy menu.

If you are interested in a place at our nursery for your child, then please feel free to ring or pop in and look around our facilities. We just ask politely that you avoid between 12-1pm and 4-5pm as they are meal times, so are a little more difficult for showing you round. We offer the universal and extended funded places for children from the term after their 3rd birthday for either 15 or 30 hours. We also offer up to 15 hours a week free for 2 year olds for eligible parents. Our nursery is open 51 weeks a year from 8am to 6pm in order to provide a flexible service for our families.
