This section is designed to help you find support and services if you think that your child may have Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND). It also provides information on local and national support if your child already has a diagnosis.
Some disabilities may be identified very early in a child's life, particularly for those who have complex needs. Other SEN and disabilities may only become apparent when a child is older. The support available will depend on the type of difficulty a child or young person has.
The information contained here will tell you about the services available to ensure parents, children and young people have access to support right from the start.
- information, advice and support about SEN or disabilities
- arrangements for identifying and assessing children and young people's needs, including through education and health services
- which services can make a diagnosis and how to access these
