The inspection was to determine the local area’s effectiveness in identifying and meeting the needs of children and young people who have SEND and evaluate how much progress has been made in implementing the SEND Code of Practice 0-25 years, since its enactment in September 2014.
During the inspection, Ofsted and CQC inspectors visited settings, schools and a college, as well as talked to, or were contacted by, a significant number of parents and children/young people with SEND.
We hope that you will find the report interesting. The overall message is broadly a positive one and the feedback will inform our SEND Inclusion Action Plan going forward. We were very pleased that Ofsted and CQC commented on how well we work together across the local area.
The SEND service at H&F would like to thank all who were involved in the Inspection and contributed through attending meetings, school visits or the webinar. We are keen to involve parents in the on-going developments to improve SEND support in H&F. If you would like to be involved, then please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or if you are a parent, please get in touch with Parentsactive.
