The core purpose of children’s centres is to improve outcomes for young children and their families and reduce inequalities between families in greatest need and their peers. Children’s centres provide care and education for families with children, from conception to their fifth birthday. Services include:

- integrated education and parenting skills
- school readiness for children
- work readiness for parents
- child and family health

The Stephen Wiltshire Centre
The Stephen Wiltshire Centre is a specialist children’s centre for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and their families.
This specialist centre is delivering a range of activities and advice sessions in partnership with local services and agencies. Families can meet with professionals and peers, as well as take part in family fun days, drop-in advice sessions and holiday schemes.
The centre is located on Queensmill Road, SW6 6JS -- just behind Queen's Manor Primary School.
