Brent Children's Centre

Come visit us at Brent Children's Centre! Lots of fun activities for you and your children to play, learn and have fun together!

Our Children's Centre is part of a nationwide programme of services for 0-5 year olds and their families. Our aim is to offer information, advice and support to parents, as well as integrated childcare and early learning, health services, family support and parental outreach.


Our sessions include:

  • Baby Group: Tuesday 1:00pm - 2:30pm

  • Music Group: Wednesday 9:30am - 10:15am

  • Stay & Play: Wednesday 1:00pm - 2:30pm

  • YAPs: Thursday 1:00pm - 3:00pm


Midwife Clinic

Our Children's Centre has antenatal midwife clinics where parents to be are monitored throughout their pregnancy by our Community Midwives. These are run on an appointment only basis. Please contact your midwife for an appointment.


Healthy Child Clinic (Drop-in)
Monday: 1:00pm - 2:30pm
(Please arrive before 2:15pm to avoid disappointment) 

Healthy Child Clinic offer you the opportunity to drop in and see your local health visiting team who will be able to offer you support and advice. They will also be able to weigh your baby or child. To speak to a Health Visitor, please call: 0300 123 6670


Sling Library
Every 3rd Monday: 1:00pm - 3:00pm

A drop-in session where you can come to find out more about using a sling to carry and care for your baby, toddler or pre-schooler. You and your family are welcome before or after baby arrives. Come along to try out all the different types of alings available, bring your own carrier with you if you need help using it, or even have the opportunity to take one home for a small fee to give it a real test drive (those receiving healthy start pay no fees).


Development Checks

At the ages of around 1 year and 2 years parents will receive a letter inviting them to a development check with their health visitor. These clinics are run on an appointment basis only.


Healthy Start Vitamins

Children’s Centres are again able to distribute Healthy Start Vitamins.  Forms are available at reception which must then be signed by a health professional who sees the family regularly, such as the Health Visitor. Vitamins can then be dispensed by our centre Business Support Assistants on Reception.


Free Childcare

All 3 and 4 year olds and some 2 year old’s are entitled to a certain amount of free early education and childcare. To see if your child is eligible, please click here.
