Caring Cooks of Jersey

We are a Jersey charity and registered NPO founded in 2014, who believe that good food and nutrition from birth and throughout a child’s life is crucial to successful development, in all areas of their lives.

Our vision is to positively empower and influence the future health of our Islands children and young people, now and for generations to come.

All of our services are either subsidised or provided free of charge to families and are funded entirely by charitable donations and fundraising.

Weekly Meal Service - A service designed to support vulnerable families through hardship and allow them to eat well and eat together, at least once a week, without the worry of having to cook or spend money on ingredients.

Let's get cooking programme - A cross curricular and progressive skills based programme for primary school children in Jersey.

It aims to ensure children go to secondary school with a thorough understanding of nutrition, an armoury of essential life skills and are able to make positive and informed food choices, both now and in the future.

Kitchen Garden Project - An outdoor learning programme teaching children how to plant food from seed and grow it to cook with in the Let’s Get Cooking Programme.

It also provides opportunities for children to reconnect with nature and the environment in an educational setting.

Flourish - A nutritious and delicious hot 2 course school lunch each day for healthy bodies and healthy minds.
