Use your skills and talents
Think about the sort of person you are, the skills and interests you have and the learning and careers available. Use the career matching and course finder tools in Planning your future to help you.
Info here can help you make choices:
- at age 13/14 for courses, qualifications or subjects in Years 10/11
(Key Stage 4)
- at age 16 between further study, an apprenticeship or job with training. If you are in Year 11, you must stay in some kind of education or training until at least your 18th birthday - ‘Raising the Participation Age' (RPA). This means if you leave full-time learning you must take a job with training or an apprenticeship
- at age 18 for higher education, a year out or a job
