Picking up the Pieces After Domestic Abuse (Solace Women’s Aid)

WHAT IS THIS PROGRAMME?

Picking up the Pieces After Domestic Abuse is delivered by Solace Women’s Aid and is for mothers who have experienced domestic/sexual abuse. The programme supports mothers to recognise the impact of domestic abuse on children and supports them to improve their child’s resilience. Parents will also develop a clear understanding of the role of Children’s Services.

Length of programme: 3 weeks. Each session is 1 ½ hours.

         

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Picking up the Pieces After Domestic Abuse is available to any Islington parents /carers who have experienced domestic abuse. Women only.

 

TOPICS COVERED

  • Understanding the impact of DVA on children
  • Supporting children to develop resilience and recover from the effects of DVA
  • Learning about the role of Children’s Services

WHERE & WHEN ARE THE GROUPS DELIVERED?

Programmes are delivered in a women-only venue in the N19 area.
