Kingston Youth Centre

Centre opens all year round day, evenings and holidays

Description:

Led by Youth Development Service, it delivers Open Access and Targeted Youth Work to young people between the ages of 10 to 19, up to 24 year old's for those in need of additional support.

The weekly programme is very varied and includes the following:

  • Open access youth openings (various evenings)
  • Lunch time drop in's (in local secondary schools)
  • Bike fix/ build a bike workshops
  • Sports and arts sessions
  • Turn to us (developing employment skills)
  • Get sorted (independent living skills project)
  • One to one small group targeted sessions
  • Awards (Duke of Edinburgh, Lord Mayors Award, Youth Development)
  • Summer activities

The Centre provides additional activities during the holiday periods.

Young people are encouraged to take an active part in the Centre and their local community.
