Kinderoos Pre-School and Nursery
Open to Key workers
Kinderoos is a multicultural setting and welcome families from all cultures and backgrounds. The practitioners promote different languages within the setting to help children feel comfortable and secure in their environment.
Kinderoos promote healthy eating and are a part of the healthy eating programme in the Early Years. Kinderoos have a spacious outdoor area and an allotment area where the children carry out Forest School activities and grow fruit and vegetables. The children are able to explore the natural environment freely with supervision support.
Children are provided with challenging activities both indoors and outdoors daily. Adult led time and child initiated play is incorporated within the daily routine so children are given opportunities to make choices and develop their confidence and independent skills. In addition, Kinderoos have an Intervention Room based on the First Floor, where small groups of children are able to explore the variety of sensory resources and activities that the teachers can support the children with.
We offer the online system at Kinderoos so parents are regularly updated and made aware of their child's learning and individual development. Parents are able to access this from home and are encouraged to make contributions towards their child's progress. Leaflets in different languages and support from practitioners is available to families as we understand that English may not be their first language.
Visits to the nursery are welcomed.
