Stalking

1 in 6 women and 1 in 12 men have experienced stalking in their lifetime in the UK.

80% of people are stalked by someone they know, most likely by an ex-partner.

You can also be stalked by family members, colleagues, acquaintances and strangers.

Stalking is:

Fixated

Obsessed

Unwanted

Repeated

It causes victims to fear violence or cause them to feel serious alarm or distress.

If you are concerned you are being stalked:

S – Say no once and stop responding

T – Take notes by keeping a log of evidence

O – Options: Contact the National Stalking Helpline

P – Police: Report it to police as early as possible

Call the National Stalking Helpline on 0808 802 0300 or call police via 101.

In an emergency always dial 999.
