Children's Centres
In response to government guidance on social distancing, activities within Ealing Children’s Centres have been adapted to be delivered virtually via the group chat app Zoom, which can be downloaded onto a phone or pc, free of charge.
You will be asked to accept our online code of conduct before accessing any of the activities. Once this is done you will be sent a Zoom link to log into the activity.

Our Early childhood health services are still operating including some face to face appointments planned in advance. Early Start health visiting and school nursing services have a 7 day week duty phone line offering advice

The Health Visiting team can provide support on all aspects of child health, development and parenting including:
- Infant Feeding / Introduction to Solids
- Management of Minor Illness
- Behaviour / Sleep
The School Nursing Team can offer health promotion advice on:
- Allergies / Bedwetting
- Nutrition / Growth and Development / Physical Activity
- Behaviour / Relationships and more
Children's centres are now able to distribute vitaimins as part of the Healthy Start programme. For more information about the progamme and the eligibility criteria please continue to the Healthy Start page
If you are currently registered with our children’s centres, you may have received a keeping in touch call from one of our team or an email. We will continue to stay in touch with you to keep you updated on how our services are operating and to offer ideas and support during the closure. If you would like a keeping in touch call you can contact our Family Information Service on 0208825 5588 who will put you in contact with a children’s centre in your area.
We will be sharing important information and keeping you up-to-date with developments on our Family Information Service facebook page as well as tips and advice on how to stay well, keep active and keep your children busy during these difficult times.

The Family Information Service is available to answer questions, especially about childcare arrangements and supporting key / critical workers and to give advice and guidance wherever possible.

Ealing has a network of 25 children's centres - led by seven main centres - each offering a range of activities and access to services for young children (aged pre-birth-5) and their families such as;
- Early education and childcare
- Out of school and play activities
- Family Support
- Parenting Support
- Family health services such as midwives, breastfeeding support and health visitors
- Back to work skills, access to training courses and volunteering
- Early Start Ealing services
Each centre provides a wide range of services for young children and their families to ensure that young children get the best start in life and that their families are well supported.
