Local Offer description

We offer excellent services to all children including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We have a Lead SENCO and two settings SENCO's within the setting, who are dedicated to making sure all children have the opportunities to meet the best possible outcomes. We have a good link with local health visitors and other professionals and put plans in place alongside parents, to make sure we have set goals for the children to achieve their true potential.

How does the early year's provision identify and assess children with special educational needs and disabilities?

How does the early year's provision identify and assess children with special educational needs and disabilities?

On admission, your child will be allocated a Key Person. The Key Person is responsible for doing observations and assessments on their individual children and reporting any concerns in relation to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to the LEAD SENCo. The Lead SENCO will then carry out her own observations and liaise with parents to decide the next steps.
