Elective home education
Most parents choose to send their child to school, but you do have the right to educate your child at home
The law says that children must receive a full-time education, from the age of five that is suitable to a child's age, ability, aptitude and any special educational need they may have. This does not have to take place at a school. If you are thinking about, or choose, home education, the local authority can offer advice and support.
