At Durham Young People's Accommodation, our aim is to provide supported accommodation to young people aged 16 – 35 years old who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and in need of support to develop the skills needed to live independently in the community.

Durham Young People's Accommodation consists of four separate buildings within South Durham Area:

• Grove Road (Core Building) in Brandon - 9 rooms (fully furnished) with communal areas – Length of stay 12 months (review at 9 months).
• 3 x shared properties: Length of stay 12 months (reviewed after 9) - 2 in Spennymoor (2 beds) with shared communal areas.
• 1 in Durham (2 bed) with shared communal areas.

This service offers:

• 24 hour support.
• Aged between 16 and 25 years of age in the Brandon project and aged between 16 and 35 at the shared houses.
• Short stay – up to 1 year at the Grove Road Project with move on plans within the shared units for up to 12 months to build up further independent skills.
