The Bowes Museum
The Bowes Museum is a magnificent French château created in the late 19th century by John and Joséphine Bowes. The museum houses internationally renowned collections of European fine and decorative arts spanning five centuries.
We have a range of resources for families to make a visit extra special.
These resources include:

- interactive resources and orienteering trails
- summer family exhibitions
In addition, we hold regular family events in the school holidays. During term time we host a weekly toddler group and also an After School Club for children aged between 7-12 years. Please visit our website for more information.
