Learning for Life

We are a Specialist provider of services based in Consett, County Durham, for adults aged 16 years and over who have a diverse range of disabilities.

Based in Consett, we provide:

  • Accredited education for age 16 plus
  • Day care social activities and community participation
  • Posture care/sensory/massage
  • Employability skills/voluntary work/social enterprise projects
  • Cookery sessions
  • Art and crafts (accreditation via Arts Award)
  • Woodwork/woodcraft
  • Animal therapy
  • Drama and music
  • Bush Craft and working with nature (accreditation via John Muir Award)
  • Sports
  • Outdoor activities (including Special Olympics)
  • Residential trips
  • Gardening working on the allotment
  • Working with Beamish Museum, Forestry Commission, Gibside and others
  • Leisure activities – bowling, cinema, social evenings
