Care Connect - Community Alarm Service
Care Connect, the council’s community alarm/telecare service, is designed to enable vulnerable and/or at-risk residents of County Durham to maintain their independence in their own home.
The service which is accredited to the Telecare services Association (TSA) code of practice offers a monitoring and response service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to customers’ homes. Our control centre is locally based within County Durham and we have trained staff on hand to help provide assistance, reassurance and attend your home when required.
To assist customers in maintaining their independence, Care Connect provide telecare services for those who have had an assessment of their support needs from Social Care Direct, but recognise not everyone wishes to have an assessment. We therefore provide a private telecare service if you do not wish to have an assessment of your needs.
We also offer a menu of additional support services - please contact us for more information.
