The Learning Library is a registered charity operating in County Durham. We provide a unique free outreach loan service to children or adults who have special needs or learning disabilities.

Our friendly outreach workers bring the Learning Library to you, at a time and place to suit you, and offer a wide range of sensory items, specialist equipment and specialist toys. 

These items aimed at promoting social, emotional/physical development and thereby encouraging members to reach their full potential.

Anyone with a disability, their parent, carers or supporting organisations, with or without referral can join.

Cost description
Free to individual members and there is a nominal annual fee for organisations, schools and nurseries.
Referral and availability notes

Our service is available to children, young people, adults and the elderly - anyone who has a special need or learning disability. Any wishing to join can either telephone the Learning Library themselves or be referred by a health professional.
