Reablement
Reablement is about giving people over the age of 18 years the opportunity, motivation and confidence to relearn/regain some of the skills they may have lost as a consequence of poor health, disability/impairment or an accident.
We provide personal social care, help with activities of daily living and other practical tasks for a limited time. We do this in such a way as to enable you to develop and regain both confidence and practical skills to carry out these activities independently.
Our trained staff work with you to ensure that you are supported in your own home and to enable you to safely practice those skills.
What do I do if I think reablement will help me?
If you live in County Durham see our Get your care needs assessed page.
