Durham Action on Single Housing - DASH Supported and Unsupported Accommodation

We believe everyone, regardless of circumstances, should have a fundamental right to a place of shelter, and help to rebuild their life.

We are an independent local charity based in Durham. We can support and/or accommodate up to 61 residents at any one time who are aged between 16 - 65 years and are homeless or are threatened with homelessness.

We provide supported and unsupported housing in our own and managed properties. We also provide accommodation for vulnerable women who have multiple and complex needs and help them to overcome barriers which may be stopping them from accessing housing and other support services.

Our aims are:

  • To provide temporary housing for homeless people.
  • Provide support to residents allowing them to take up and manage move-on accommodation independently.

Our support is provided alongside other support workers residents may have.

We are open Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm (support hours negotiated by prior arrangement can be made outside these hours).
