The Compassionate Friends is an organisation of bereaved parents offering support, understanding and friendship to others after the loss of a child, of any age, from any cause.

We offer a national telephone helpline, staffed only by bereaved parents, who are available for support and information 365 days a year.

We also offer:

  • a website and moderated online forum
  • local support contacts and groups
  • weekend gatherings and retreats
  • information leaflets
  • bereavement support publications
  • a postal library
  • specialist sibling support is also available.

The best way to begin finding appropriate access to your support needs is through our helpline and website.  Our helpline also has the most up to date details about the support activities that might be available in your area.
