Easington Social Welfare Centre
Based in the heart of the former mining community of Easington Colliery, the centre provided community facilities for the miners and their families. Originally built in 1929 and rebuilt after a fire in 1935, the centre still remains open providing vital facilities for its community.
Easington social welfare became a registered charity in July 2004 and continues to provide a facility for the community. It is managed by a committee of 12 trustees who care for the community and are intersted in long-term development of Easinton colliery
