Killhope is now closed for the winter. We re-open on Wednesday 1 April 2020.

Killhope is a multi-awarding winning Victorian Mining Museum, offering a grand day out for all. One of our guides will take you on an unforgettable tour of the mine. Find your own minerals as you work as a washerboy, working water wheels. Walk the woodland trails to see some red squirrels.

Our facilities include:

  • wheelchair access to the whole of the visitor centre.
  • drop-off area at front door/allocated disabled parking near the visitor centre/free parking.
  • accessible wildlife hide located in the woods - rough ground to hide.
  • accessible toilets located inside and out.
  • automated main doors to the visitor centre.
  • baby changing facilities are located in the cafe toilet.
  • trained first aiders on site.
  • automated main doors to the visitor centre.
