Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP)
Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), is an award-winning, highly respected user-led charity. PCP mission is ‘Health, Wellbeing and Learning for All’ and we aim to ‘support the development of individual and community capacity by creating opportunities to improve the health, wellbeing and life chances of disadvantaged communities.’
PCP achieves this by delivering community projects across the North East and from our fully accessible, purpose built multi-agency healthy living centre, the Pioneering Care Centre.
The Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe is home to a range of accessible activities designed to bring people together and support healthier. A community hub that provides a range of health and wellbeing activities including; exercise classes, learning workshops, a community garden, community coffee shop, hydrotherapy pool, natural therapies, employability support services, and disability projects, including Options. The Centre also houses a GP Practice, Pharmacy, Mental Health Services, Children’s Nursery, Speech and Language Service and other health and social care services. PCP also delivers 28 projects in the North East, engaging with approximately 50,000 people each year.
PCP’s services and projects aim to:
• improve access to services for disadvantaged communities and groups;
• improve confidence, self esteem and wellbeing;
• promote independence, choice and control;
• improve lifestyle;
• increase knowledge and skills;
• improve physical health;
• improve economic wellbeing;
• build community capacity and;
• promote social inclusion;
PCP takes a strengths-based approach aspires to build capacity with individuals and communities enabling them to improve their own health and wellbeing.

Both the Hydrotherapy Pool and Therapy Suite are open to all client groups across County Durham. Concessionary rates are available for carers, people in receipt of means tested benefits and those claiming state pensions.
