We offer day care provision for people with disabilities. We provide high quality of care and support for people in a community setting, with a person centred approach to offer opportunities and experiences for people to promote choice, inclusion, dignity, independence and fulfilment.

New Steps is a small friendly and caring organisation with people at our heart. Our service users will be central in all aspects of planning, delivery and review of their care. We have established links within the local community which will enable our service users to build and maintain their positive sense of self worth.

We develop programmes which are interesting, fulfilling and creative providing opportunities that reflect the service users interests.

We offer a wide variety of activities including:

  • exercises
  • sports
  • games
  • art
  • swimming
  • craft
  • basic education
  • music
  • therapy
  • cookery
  • rambles
  • healthy eating
  • pamper sessions
  • farm visits
  • outings to parks, the coast and local attractions.

We have knowledge and experience of and respect for the interests and preferred lifestyles of our service users. We believe that people should be treated as individuals, so we utilise a key worker and support planning approach.
