St Cuthbert's Catholic Community School Nursery Class

St Cuthbert's Catholic Community School Logo

St. Cuthbert's Catholic Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our catholic ethos encourages all children to develop a rounded approach to life with care, kindness, spiritual and moral wellbeing as strengths.

In the Ofsted inspection report [September 2013] these strengths were recognised: “The school is a calm and welcoming place where the views and talents of all individuals are respected and nurtured. Consequently, children feel safe and morale is high.”

St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Community School is committed to ensure that the pupils who are taught in our school are provided with a broad and balanced curriculum.  One which prepares them for their future adult life and in becoming valued citizens of our ever changing society. We recognise the multi-cultural, multi faith and ever changing society of the United Kingdom and wish to prepare our pupils for the future.

At St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Community School we aim to support our children to have full life in every sense of the word. Full as a person, as a learner, full spiritually, morally, socially and culturally.  The values of the Gospel walk hand in hand with British values.  Bringing with it:-solidarity, joy, truth, faith, hope, love, justice, peace and community with compassion, prayer and dignity.

Local Offer

Local Offer Description

If your child is struggling with aspects of his/her learning it does not mean that they have special needs. Sometimes a child can find a particular aspect of a subject difficult or due to absence has missed crucial steps in their learning in previous weeks, terms or years. Teaching staff regularly assess progress and adapt lesson content and strategies to suit the needs of the children in their class. This is called differentiation and most children make progress as a result. However if you have any concerns please speak to your child's class teacher.
