Nacro - Barrow

Open Monday to Thursday from 9am until 4:30pm

Whether you’re still at school or you want to get into further education or work, there’s a place for you at Nacro.

Study Programme

Our personalised vocational courses provide young people with the skills they need to get into education, training or employment. We also partner with employers to offer them enthusiastic, work-ready young people.

At Nacro, you can learn in a way that suits you. We’re not like school or college. Our groups, workshops and traineeships allow you to develop Employment skills.

It doesn’t matter what grades you left school with. At Nacro, we’ll help you find the skills you need to apply for a job or carry on learning. Many of our courses are vocational, which means you can learn a trade like construction or catering. If you’re ready to start work, we can offer you a traineeship, which includes a work placement in a job you’re interested in doing.

If you’re thinking about career options and what  to do next, why not try this course and learn the skills that employers want? We’ll help familiarise you with some of the practical and personal skills that employers expect in a vocational area of your choice.

Age groups

We're not like school. We'll help you choose a workplace skill, like retail or catering, which you can do in our centre. When your ready to leave schools we can help you apply for a job - or you can stay with us and do another course.
