Richard Rose Morton Academy Logo

Our student centred, dynamic and exciting learning environment supports the highest standards in academic, vocational and personal achievements so that all our students surpass their individual potential and are prepared for adult and working life in the 21st Century.

We encourage our students to be aspirational and to make informed decisions about their path in life by providing a supportive and personalised structure for them to develop within. We take time to know each of our students and through our community ethos are able to build strong relationships which positively impact on the future of our students. Achievement and positive attitudes are celebrated and rewarded. We strive to create a happy, harmonious and hard-working Academy in which all students are able to develop and achieve.

All of our staff at the Academy share in the vision and believe that each individual child has the right to be the best version of themselves they can be. We do this by creating quality teaching and learning, positive life experiences, a fair and firm approach to discipline and a wide range of enrichment opportunities so that all children can experience success. Employees share dedication and commitment to motivate and inspire students to achieve beyond their expectations. We ensure our employees have access to a varied and comprehensive professional development programme to enable us to share good practise, celebrate outstanding teaching achievements and ensure the best in terms of quality of teaching and learning for the students.

We are proud to be at the heart of our community and have  passionate parents who work with us to create an Academy where parents and carers are valued and their voices are heard. Our goal is to enable our students to reach their aspirations by working in partnership with all stakeholders. We are proud to be a part of what is ‘made in Morton’.

Local Offer

Local Offer Description

Students are given base line assessments before any intervention so as to highlight key areas of focus, they are then tested throughout and again at the end of an intervention stretch.

Students are given end of term assessments in all subjects. All of this will contribute to identifying a student’s progress against their targets / goals. This information will be shared with the student and parents. At this point the SEN team, parent and student will identify how to move forward together in order to achieve the best possible progress.
