Brook Street School continues to develop and improve and was graded a 'good' school by Ofsted at last inspection (March 2017). The school is working hard to extend the range of educational experiences available to the children and to the community.
The school has a very good reputation throughout Cumbria for its work with EAL children. An excellent team of teaching, non-teaching and administrative staff, led by the Headteacher, ensures our pupils thrive in a happy stimulating environment.
At Brook Street the support from parents and the local community is recognised as a contribution to the success of the school. The school buildings and play areas continue to be improved to provide even better facilities for the future.
We look forward to welcoming a new generation to Brook Street School which is a 3-11 primary incorporating Early Years Unit (nursery sessions mornings and afternoons), Parent and Toddler Playgroup on Monday afternoons and After School club provision run jointly with Norman Street School and located there. A breakfast club is also available from 0830am at the school.
