The Police are able to require that groups of two or more persons acting in an antisocial way disperse from the designated area for up to 24 hours. Failure to comply is a summary offence with a power of arrest. The dispersal notice aims to target problems with youth disorder, drugs and alcohol-related violent crime and disorderly behaviour.
