Befriending
Our Befriending Project matches volunteers with isolated older people across south Camden. Meeting weekly, they build up a relationship, providing company and taking part in activities like cooking, reading or making performance art pieces! The point is to reduce older people’s loneliness and the impact isolation has on their well-being.
Activities
We run a range of activities on our regularly updated timetable to stimulate older people socially, cognitively and physically to improve their emotional and physical well-being. These regularly include singing, arts and crafts, inter-generational activities, Tai Chi and gardening.
Looking after each other
We bring people together to make sure our members get the little things that keep them feeling and looking good from a visit from the hairdresser to clothes sales and daily lunch club
Speaking up for older people
We support our members in other ways, acting as a voice for older people – advocating for them as part of health and care assessments, helping them with questions about their benefits and bills and making sure they get the right support from GP’s and transport services.
