The Crowthorne Stroke & Disabled Club is based in Crowthorne and run entirely by volunteers. Our membership comprises local residents who have had a stroke or who have a physical disability. We offer them an opportunity socialize and enjoy a change of scene.
We are not able to offer treatment or therapy, just companionship.
The club meets on the 4th Thursday of every month except August and December. Our meetings are held in the Morgan Centre, Crowthorne, when we run quizzes and raffles and usually we have guest speakers. On alternate months we go on outings, pub lunches and garden centre visits, for example. In June each year we organise a river boat trip, usually from Henley.
Currently planned events are listed on the "Programme" page on our website. For transport we are supported by the Crowthorne Community Minibus and its fleet of volunteer drivers and we try to provide transport for Crowthorne residents if we have the capacity.
