- 1: How does the setting identify children with additional needs or SEND?
I have a discussion with the parents/carers before the child starts, to identify where abouts in their development the child is, and if they have any concerns regarding their development.
I carry out observations and track the childs development. I carry out the 2year development checks,
I have 6 monthly meetings with the parents/carers to discuss their childs progress.
I use my experience and all the information I gather to help me identify if the child may need additional help or support.

I build good relationships with the parents/carers, and keep them informed through daily verbal communication, daily diaries, emails, texts.

Any child with an additional need or SEND will have a care plan which will be agreed and shared with the parent/carer.
- 3: How will the setting adapt the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for my child's needs?

I track each childs progress, plan targets and regularly review them. I carry out the 2 year assessments.
